How to Enroll in the MMH Patient Portal
There are two ways to enroll in the MMH patient portal:
- Onsite Enrollment: At your next appointment or hospital visit, a Margaret Mary team member will help you enroll in the patient portal.
- Self-Enrollment: You can also register online at https://mmhportal.org/.
Onsite Enrollment Process
- At check-in, a team member will ask if you would like to receive an invitation to enroll in the patient portal.
- Be ready to provide your email address and select and answer a security question.
- An email invitation from Margaret Mary Health with a link to complete your registration will be sent to the email address provided.
Self-Enrollment Process
- Go to https://mmhportal.org/ and click on “Register.”
- Enter your demographic information and click “Next.”
- Enter your verification information and click “Next, Create Your Account.”
- Enter your email address under “I Need An Account” and click “Sign Up.”
- Enter your demographic information, create your account username and password, select and answer a security question, and agree to the Cerner patient portal terms of use and privacy policy and click “Create Account.”

Can I schedule appointments online?
At this time, you cannot schedule appointments online through the MMH patient portal. To schedule an appointment, please call the provider office or central scheduling.
What if I forget my password?
If you forget your password, go to https://mmhportal.org/ and click on “Forgot Password.” You’ll be given instructions on how to reset your password. You may also call the MMH Portal Helpline at 812.933.5124, option 2 for assistance.
How do I download the app?
A mobile app via iOS and Android is available for use on any mobile device. Follow these simple steps to access:

I am a POA/legal guardian for my loved one. How do I sign him/her up?
Due to federal HIPAA requirements, prior to providing access to medical records, MMH must validate your POA or legal guardianship. Please call 812.934.5009 for guidance.
Can I sign up my children?
Patients may sign up their children who are under 13 without them being present. All other minors must be present for parent/guardian to get registered. Access will automatically terminate at the age of 18, with a reminder email of termination sent the day before their 18th birthday. Patients may sign up for patient portal access for those who they have legal guardianship or POA.
Can I sign up my spouse?
Your spouse will need to create their own patient portal account, with a unique email address, and you cannot share medical information or authorized access for dependents. You may sign up for patient portal access for your spouse if you are designated as their legal guardian or POA.
Is my health information secure?
MMH and your provider’s office will NOT have access to your account. Your data can only be accessed with the username and password you select. Your personal health information is as secure in the patient portal as it is in the MMH electronic health record system.
How do I sign up to receive text notifications when I have new messages in my portal account?
If you have not yet installed the app, be sure to choose “Allow” from the HealtheLife notifications pop-up upon installation. If already installed, go to “Settings” – “HealtheLife app” – “Notifications” and then choose “Allow Notifications.”
